After a another disappointing season David Maciver stepped down from his 2 year stint as Back manager. The Club thanks Davie for his efforts and wishes him well for the future. He had a tough job on his hands and despite taking the team to a cup final he was unable to find the consistency in team selection that he needed.
So a successor was required and after some deliberation the decision was made to approach fromer player Kenneth 'Bugsy' Smith who after a few days of contemplation and soul searching decided to agree to become the new manager of Back FC.
Bugsy served Back FC well in his time with us as a player and I am sure the same will be said of his management career. Bugsy was a solid defender who encouraged his team mates at every turn. He was also an advocate of pass and move so this should hold him in good stead for the daunting task ahead.
If he can make the team stcik to his principles there should be an improvement on the pitch. We all wish him well.
