After winning Young Player of the Year last season Martin Maclean made the inevitable step up to Player of the Year for 2011 after a season of superlative performances from the youngster.
The award was deserving after his outstanding season for Back although it seems that most other managers forgot what age he was as he inexplicably missed out on Young Player of the Year which was won by
Andrew Macleod of Ness who has been a joy to watch this season.
Other awards went the way of Ath's Scott Maciver for seasons top scorer, just pipping our own Fraser Macleod who will surely win it next year? Martin Macphee of West Side was keeper of the year as Tohan was over-looked as he possibly never played enough games as I can't think of any other reason to leave him out.
At the ceremony sponsored by Specilaist Welding Services the boys collected their well deserved league medals.
The awards were well attended by Back FC and gave the opportunity for the Committe members and team members to be pictured with the newly acquired league trophy.
It also gave backfc.com a chance to picture manager Iain Maclenna with the league trophy as there was no award for manager of theyear whcih Iain would surely have collected.
A special mention for Kenny Faoich for his usual impeccable master of ceromony duties.
